It was a night of nisim niglim. We had been told by the doctors, on account of the various problems with the pregnancy to expect all sorts of horrible things. We had been told by our Rosh Yeshiva, that on account of the father learning mila to be the mohel for his own son, that the child had all the zecut of that learning, and as mila is equivalant according to our sages as all the rest of Torah, the child had the zecut of equivalent to learning all of Torah lishma, so nothing could be wrong with it. Even when for an hour and a half they could not hear the baby's heart beat, and they feared the worst, our faith in the power of Torah was unshakable. In the end they wound up giving imma an c-section(which turned out to be uncessary and perhaps we should have kept up the fight), however in the absolute end we have a perfect baby boy, and a healthy though exhausted and recovering mother.
Thus it is with great gratitude to HaKodesh Baruch Hu, and with great joy that my wife and I inform you that we have a new baby boy. The brit milah will take place Monday the 20th of Elul(next week) at Yeshivat Nahar Shalom, 6 Rehov Shiloh(toward the corner of Agrippas), following Shacharit(approx 7:45).
